| Installation Example:
Sure Control Systems Inc. created an out of process PC Based Vision inspection station. It was comprised of integrated lighting, two Vision cameras, a handheld
barcode scanner, and a digital I/O interface. The system was connected to an existing PLC, which controlled the relevant section of the production conveyer. An inspector removes a Carrier from a
skid, which comes into the inspection location via the conveyer. The Carrier is manually positioned in the inspection station, and pushbutton manually triggers a part inspection.
The part type is identified and the sun gear is inspected by the Vision System to verify that it is the correct model sun gear and that it is in the
proper orientation. The result of the inspection is shown on the PC screen. The inspector then verifies the label on the skid, with the current inspection result, by scanning the bar code. If the
results agree, the skid is released, and the conveyer removes it from the inspection location. Otherwise it is held until the problem identified is corrected, and the product is re-inspected
and verified.
