Installation Example:

Sure Control Systems Inc. created an "in process" PC
Based Vision inspection station. It was comprised of integrated lighting, twenty four Vision cameras, a digital I/O interface, and an integrated section of conveyor interlocked with the Vision System inspection results. The system was connected to an existing PLC, which controlled the relevant section of the production
conveyer. The target engine block moves into position in the Vision System Enclosure via a conveyor system.
When the block is in position, the PLC sends a signal to the Vision System that the engine block is ready to be inspected. 

The Vision System then starts a capture program that takes 24 pictures of the engine block.  Once the capture program is complete, the images are then analyzed to check for threads. If the Vision System finds that all threads are present, it will
send a pass signal back to the PLC. When the PLC gets the pass signal, it will move the block down to the Loading Area. If the Vision System processes the images and decides that there is a thread failure, then it will send the PLC a fail signal. The PLC will then sound an alarm so that the operator can visually inspect the engine block to verify that there is a thread failure and release the block into quarantine.
