SST for many years formerly known as the products division of Sutherland and Shultz
and later SS-Technologies was the first company to produce a PC based comminication interface to Allen Bradley's Data Highway Plus. Over the years SST has become
the third party supplier of communication interfaces to all major control networks including Profibus, Devicenet, ControlNet and others. Hardware platforms
supported by SST include ISA Bus, Multibus I & II, PCI bus, PC104 and VME. SST also manufacture modules that connect various PLC vendors to each others
proprietary networks. Beyond the hardware technology SST have developed tools such as network diagnostics and OPC connectivity that have proven to be effective and
flexible.
